Even though our habits potentially govern our lives for some people they have life-changing experiences and realize they were are here for a greater purpose. With this, it is important we change our old ways to become the great person we wish to become, and the possibility of this happening relies on what we do and the actions we take over time.
There are a few things we can learn to help us step into our greatness, achieve great success and live a much-improved life. I have used 3 ways to quickly propel my own efforts for greatness using a 3-step principle.
- Relationships
Have you heard of this saying?
"You are the sum total of the 5 people you hang around with the most"
Well, it's true. The more time you spend with your friends the more likely you will be alike. I used to really get annoyed when people say ‘show me your friends and I’ll know who you are.’
I would disagree and be really mad saying, “Don’t be stupid. Myself and my friends we are all different!” But were we?
We hung out almost every day, went to the same places, did almost the same things, ate the same food! Wore the same style of clothes, hairstyles… do I need to go on? Your relationships matter!
For you to be great, you must:
* Find a mentor or someone you look up to. Ask them questions or find out how they got to where they are now and set your own goals
* Join communities, groups or go out and meet people at events if you can, or generally people who share the same interests with you.
* Be around positive-encouraging people more often: People who share the same skills and passions and lifestyle you want.
* Avoid some people almost completely!

2. Take Responsibility
I’m going to keep this simple. From now on, you must take responsibility for your life, decisions, actions, emotions, and reactions. Yes, YOU are the only one responsible for your life.
Quit blaming others and instead, when something goes belly-up ask yourself;
“What am I going to do about it?” instead of “Why have they done that!”
3. Have Faith
According to Matthew Barnett, "Faith is believing that God is going to take you places before you even get there.”
Becoming great involves developing faith: *. in yourself *. in an unseen power You know it will work out – it always has. This can lead you on a path to greatness. Faith can help boost your belief in yourself, achieve great things and live expecting to win.
